We are a Foursquare church. What is a Foursquare
church you might ask?
The term "foursquare" was common in the early 1900s
and referred to something or someone as being "solid" and
"balanced". It was during this time that God called Aimee
Semple McPherson to preach what she called the "foursquare gospel.
Her evangelistic meetings led to a movement, which became the International
Church of the Foursquare Gospel in December of 1927. To this day the
message remains a simple, four-point declaration of Jesus as:
- SAVIOR
- HEALER
- BAPTIZER WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
- SOON-COMING KING
Today there are more than 1800 churches in the
United States and the denomination reaches into more than 100 countries
serving more than two million people worldwide.
